I woke up early so walked down the beach taking some photos.
Today was a repeat of yesterday driving up and down to sites along the Kamehameha Highway. First stop was back at the turtles. I was hoping to get some better pictures of the turtles but none of them wound cooperate. We spent some time watching quite a few further down the beach floating along in the waves. Apparently this same group of turtles has been coming to this beach for 30 years. All are tagged and monitored.
The turtles are at the far end of the North shore so we continued our drive to Haleiwa and hit a few shops before having lunch at Jamesons. I had heard that it had some pretty tasty fish which turned out to be true. THe Ulua fish and also the shrimp sandwich were great. We later learned that in August Jamesons was going to be torn down and rebuilt as something else.
On the way back we wanted to find the beach with the Bonzai Pipeline but being the summer there really weren't any waves. The beach had a steep bank to it and was very windy so we left for our sandy little beach by the house.
Dinner was a picnic with sandwiches while waiting for the sun to set on sunset beach. It was a bit cloudy but still beautiful and we got the bonus of seeing a boogie boarding dog.
